Your designs stay local. The extension does not upload your labels to us. If you email support, we receive only what you choose to share.
About this policy
This policy explains how SimplyLabel Studio handles information when you use the Chrome extension, visit this privacy page, or contact hello@simplylabel.studio. SimplyLabel Studio is an offline label-design and printing tool. No account is required.
Your label content stays on your device
The extension processes the text, images, dates, QR code content, barcode content, and layout settings you enter or import to provide label editing, previews, saving, and printing. Your current draft and saved presets are stored locally in your Chrome profile. SimplyLabel Studio does not upload these designs to us or synchronize them to an account or another device.
Files and printing
When you choose an image or project file, the extension reads that selected file locally. When you save a project or export presets, it creates a file on your device. Printing passes your label to Chrome’s print system and your selected printer or print destination. Your operating system, printer, print service, or file backup service may handle the resulting files or print jobs under its own settings and policies.
Information the extension does not collect
The extension does not include advertising, usage analytics, tracking cookies, or automatic crash-report uploads. It does not read your browsing history or the contents of other websites, and it does not request access to your email, contacts, or accounts. Entering a URL into a QR code encodes that text locally; it does not visit the URL. If someone later scans the code, the destination website’s own practices apply.
When you contact support
If you email hello@simplylabel.studio, we receive your email address, your message, and any files or information you choose to send. We use this information to respond to questions, investigate problems, and consider feedback. Our email service provider processes those communications to deliver and store email. Avoid sending passwords or unnecessary personal information. Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle the request and related follow-up or meet applicable legal obligations. You may ask us to delete it by emailing the same address.
Sharing and use
We do not sell label content or support correspondence, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Label content is not sent to us by the extension. Information you voluntarily send to support may be handled by our email provider and may be disclosed if required by law. We limit our use of information to the purposes described in this policy.
Storage, deletion, and your choices
Local drafts and presets remain in the Chrome profile until replaced, deleted, or cleared. You can delete individual presets in the app and start a new blank label to replace the current draft. To remove all extension-local data, clear the extension’s storage or uninstall the extension. Downloaded projects, exported backups, images, print files, and copies held by backup or print services are separate; delete those separately if desired. Keep backups of work you want to retain. We cannot retrieve or delete label files stored only on your device.
Website hosting
The simplylabel.studio website is hosted using GitHub Pages. GitHub states that it logs and stores visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes, whether or not a visitor is signed in. This privacy page does not include analytics scripts, advertising, cookies, or forms. Visiting the website is separate from using the offline extension. GitHub’s privacy statement explains its handling of hosting-related information.
Security
The extension keeps designs in browser-local storage rather than sending them to our servers. Local storage is not a password-protected vault. Anyone with access to your browser profile, exported files, or device backups may be able to access saved designs. Protect your device and share project files carefully.
